Movement Building Nights

We are excited to extend an invitation to Utah's Farm to School community for the upcoming 2024 regional Movement Building Nights. This series of events serves as a gathering point for dedicated advocates in the Farm to School and Farm to Early Care and Education realms, providing an invaluable opportunity to celebrate shared achievements, foster meaningful connections, find inspiration, and collaborate to nurture the growth of farm to school. These events will provide farmers, ranchers and school districts with information and an opportunity to discuss Utah Farm to Fork.

Schedule:  Details are still being finalized, but we invite you to register for your region to stay up to date. If you would like to help plan your region, please reach out to nmchale@utah.gov.

1. Salt Lake Region - Salt Lake City, Granite, Murray, Jordan and Canyons School District

2. Davis County - Davis School District

3. Weber/Morgan Region - Ogden, Weber and Morgan School Districts

4. Wasatch Back Region - North Summit, South Summit, Park City and Wasatch School District

5. Greater Provo Region - Nebo, Provo City, and Alpine School Districts

6. Tooele County - Tooele School District

7. Northern Utah Region - Cache, Box Elder, Rich and Logan School Districts

8. Southwest Utah Region - Iron County and Washington County School District

Heritage Center (105 North 100 East, Cedar City)

Workshop will take place during the Utah Farm Conference, but registration for the conference is not required to attend. 

9. Southeast Utah Region - Emery, Carbon and Grand County School Districts.

10. Uinta Basin Region - Daggett, Duchesne, and Uintah County School Districts

11. Central Utah Region - Sevier, South Sanpete, North Sanpete, Piute, Millard, Beaver, & Juab Counties and Tintic School Districts

12. South Central Region - Garfield, Kane and Wayne County School Districts

13. San Juan Region - San Juan County and Navajo Nation

Who should attend? YOU! Anyone interested in connecting schools and organizations within your district to local food and agricultural education, we would love to see you there. 

How long will the workshops be? Workshops will be approximately 2-hrs long each sesson. Time dependent on each district. 

What if I need special accomodations to attend? If you require any special accommodations due to disabilities, medical conditions, dietary preferences, or any other specific needs, please let us know as soon as possible. We are committed to creating an accessible and welcoming environment for all attendees.

Will food be provided? To harness the power of community, these will be potluck style events. Additional details will be sent specific to your district prior to the meeting.
