Moab-based Youth Garden Project creates high-quality educational resources available to the public and focused on hands on, garden based learning.

The Youth Garden Project's Youth Programs are designed to meet the needs in the community incorporating the following principles:

  1.  Encourage academic learning through hands on activities.

  2.  Develop practical, vocational and life skills.

  3.  Provide opportunities to serve and interact in our community.

  4.  Cultivate a safe and nurturing place for youth to interact.

  5.  Promote ecological awareness and responsibility.

Visit YGP's Resources page for garden inspired activities and virtual resources to share with curious, young learners.

USBE Demonstration Garden

Did you know that Utah State Board of Education has a small demonstration garden? We started this project to show that even a small space can be used for outdoor education. It's also become a valuable way for our staff to understand the struggles of running a school garden.
