We had a great turnout at Bicentennial Park in Provo for the Farm to Summer Event hosted by the Boys and Girls Club of Utah County on July 12th for their summer lunch mealtime service with the Summer Food Service Program. There was a hilarious story time hosted by the Provo Library, as well as a ton of fun and educational activities from organizations like USU Extension, the Beef Council, Dairy West, and the Utah County Health Department. There were seed planting activities, photo booths, prizes to win, books to check out, and yummy healthy food available to everyone 0-18 years of age! Luckily, the park provided much needed shade during these hot summer Utah days we have been having. We are looking forward to working with more Summer Food Service Program sponsors and organizations next year for another summer event! If you missed the event this year, we hope to see you next year! Stay cool out there!
